Founded in January 2009 but with roots going back to 1999, it is partially based on the advanced Chat and community products built by Jubii Denmark and Lycos Europe. It was previously known as the Lycos, Jubii, Spray and Yahoo Chats across Europe and has recently been re-branded back to Lycos across most of Europe after signing a partnership deal with Lycos Inc.

Reaching more than 1 Million users every month on our dynamic multi room, multi language chat and community products with a unique nautical theme, we engage old as well as young with profiles, guestbooks and semi intelligent “Bots” that welcome our members as they enter their realm.

Using advanced logging and message analysis technologies, we aim to be one of the safest places to socialise and we work closely with law enforcement agencies and identity verification specialists across the world to achieve just that.
